A Montville small business owner is grappling with a significant setback after a costly investment in a printer that has yet to arrive. Shierka Billips, the owner of SVG on Demand, made a purchase of nearly $36,000 in hopes of expanding her business capabilities. The printer was ordered from OmniPrint International during a tradeshow earlier this spring, with assurances that it would be delivered promptly.
However, as weeks turned into months, Billips found herself in a difficult situation, unable to fulfill orders and expand her services due to the absence of the essential equipment. In her quest for resolution, she reached out to NBC CT Responds, seeking assistance in tracking down her purchase and understanding the delays.
Billips expressed her frustration, emphasizing the impact this situation has had on her business operations. She remains hopeful that with the help of media intervention, she may finally receive the printer that she invested in, allowing her to continue growing her business in the competitive market.
