Early Morning Blaze Destroys Dry Cleaning Business on Oak Street

A fire that broke out in the early hours of Halloween morning has left a local dry cleaning business in ruins. Crews were called to the scene just after 1 AM on October 31, responding to reports of a large fire inside the Lease Dry Cleaners building on Oak Street.

By the time firefighters arrived, heavy flames had already spread through the structure. Crews worked for hours to bring the blaze under control, but the damage proved too severe. The building has since been demolished, leaving only rubble where the business once stood.

No injuries have been reported so far. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and officials have not yet released details about how it started or whether the property is considered a total loss.

The destruction of the cleaners is a blow to the neighborhood, where the business had operated as a familiar spot for residents dropping off clothes and household items. Owners and employees are now left to sort out what comes next as the investigation continues.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about the fire to come forward as they work to determine the origin of the blaze.
