A Carrick business owner got the shock of a lifetime when a raccoon came crashing through the ceiling, turning a normal workday into a scene straight out of a nightmare. The owner, still shaken, described the moment as surreal. "I thought I was dreaming when I saw glowy eyes," she said, recalling the pair of bright eyes staring back at her from the rubble.
The incident happened at her shop in Allegheny County, where the animal apparently found its way into the attic and then broke through the ceiling tiles. The raccoon left behind a significant mess, with debris scattered across the floor and damage that made it impossible to keep the store open. As a result, the owner had to cancel all pending orders, disappointing customers who had been waiting for their items.
The raccoon was eventually removed, but the aftermath has been costly. The owner is now dealing with repairs and cleanup, hoping to reopen soon. For now, the shop remains closed, and the owner is left counting the losses from an unexpected visitor that turned her business upside down.
