Missouri is set to welcome a new leader for its National Guard as Brig. Gen. Charles Hausman has been appointed by Governor Mike Kehoe to take over as the adjutant general. Hausman will officially assume his role on February 1st, succeeding Maj. Gen. Levon Cumpton, who is heading overseas to further his service with the Army.
In a recent statement, Gen. Hausman emphasized the importance of community engagement, stating, “We are in the people business.” This reflects his commitment to not only lead the National Guard but also to prioritize the needs and welfare of the soldiers and the communities they serve. His leadership comes at a critical time as the National Guard continues to play a vital role in both state and national missions.
Hausman’s extensive experience and dedication to service are expected to guide the Missouri National Guard through upcoming challenges while fostering a strong connection with the local populace.
