Nine Business and Restaurant Changes Reshape Central and East McKinney

Nine Business and Restaurant Changes Reshape Central and East McKinney

Several new businesses and restaurants are making their way into central and East McKinney, bringing a mix of dining, retail and service options to the area. Among the highlights are Cafe LaFaye, Grace+Emma and Ono Hawaiian BBQ, each adding something different to the local lineup.

Cafe LaFaye has drawn attention for its boutique coffeehouse approach, pairing specialty drinks with a cozy setting that encourages customers to linger. Grace+Emma offers a boutique shopping experience, giving residents another option for gifts and personal finds without leaving the neighborhood. Ono Hawaiian BBQ brings plate lunch style cooking to the area, featuring grilled meats, rice and macaroni salad that have become a staple of the cuisine.

Beyond these three, six other businesses round out the list of updates. Some are now open and serving customers, while others are still under construction or preparing to launch in the coming months. A few established operations are also expanding, adding space or services to meet growing demand.

The activity reflects broader growth across McKinney as new residential areas fill in and commercial development follows. For residents in central and East McKinney, the changes mean shorter drives for food, shopping and everyday services. Business owners say they see steady demand from a growing population that wants convenient local options.

More openings are expected as construction wraps up on several projects. For now, the nine updates offer a snapshot of a corridor in transition, with new names joining familiar ones.
