I recently embarked on my first backpacking journey across Europe, and the experience was filled with unexpected surprises that broadened my perspective. One of the most notable aspects was the convenience and charm of overnight trains. These journeys allowed me to travel long distances while maximizing my time exploring various cities. The comfort of settling down in a cozy cabin while the scenery whizzed by was an experience in itself.
In addition to the trains, I discovered the beauty of small towns that are often overshadowed by larger cities. Each village had its unique character, local cuisine, and friendly residents, making them delightful stops along my journey. I also learned a lot about my own capabilities as a solo traveler. Navigating unfamiliar places, meeting new people, and overcoming language barriers boosted my confidence and independence.
Overall, this two-week adventure was not just about the destinations; it was about personal growth and the joy of exploration.
