Applications for a free eight-week business training program aimed at military veterans and their families in Central Oregon will close on Wednesday, Sept. 30. The program, known as Startup Training Resources to Inspire Veteran Entrepreneurship, or STRIVE, is designed to help military-connected entrepreneurs build the skills needed to launch and maintain small businesses.
The in-person sessions focus on practical business development, offering participants guidance on planning, operations, and long-term sustainability. Organizers say the training is tailored specifically to the needs of veterans and their family members, who often face unique challenges when transitioning into civilian entrepreneurship.
The initiative is offered in collaboration with local partners committed to supporting veteran-owned businesses. By providing free access to structured training, the program aims to remove financial barriers that might otherwise prevent veterans from pursuing their business ideas.
Those interested in participating are encouraged to submit their applications before the deadline. Space may be limited, and late submissions will not be accepted. The program represents an opportunity for veterans and their families to gain knowledge, mentorship, and connections within the local business community.
