A woman owned small business opportunity through a popular Valley farmer’s market

Among the rows of homemade items and one-of-a-kind creations at the Pinnacle Peak Farmers Market, woman-owned business proprietor Tara J. Harley offers something shoppers have a difficult time finding: handmade jewelry where every piece is a unique creation. Harley, owner of Lady J's Creations, designs unique handmade jewelry and brings her work directly to customers at the popular Valley market.

Her booth has become a regular stop for shoppers looking for pieces they will not see anywhere else. Each design is made by hand, which means no two items are exactly alike. That approach sets her apart from vendors selling mass-produced goods and gives customers a reason to return week after week.

For Harley, the farmers market has provided more than a place to sell her work. It has given her a way to connect with the local community, meet other small business owners and build a following without the overhead of a traditional storefront. The market draws steady foot traffic and gives small vendors like her a chance to reach new customers in a relaxed setting.

Her story reflects a broader trend of women launching small businesses and using local markets as a launching pad. With a mix of craftsmanship and persistence, Harley continues to grow Lady J's Creations one piece at a time.
